Cryo Chamber

Cryotherapy is exposure to subzero temperatures. The extreme temperature stimulates skin sensors, activating a Central Nervous System (CNS) response. This causes the release of endorphins, the body's natural pain inhibitors and mood elevators, while the enhanced circulation activity (blood movement into and out of the core) decreases inflammation by clearing toxins and metabolic waste with a supply of oxygen and nutrient-enriched blood to stimulate cellular regeneration (faster healing).

IMPROVE PERFORMANCE and RECOVER QUICKER!

No, you should not. You are not in there long enough to get either. You wear gloves, socks and slippers to prevent frostbite. Your core temperature does not drop only your skin temperature. When your core temperature drops is when you will experience hypothermia. Not having any products such as lotions or body oils on is required. You must be completely dry to enter our chamber. You may always get out of the chamber at any moment-if at anytime it feels too cold you can exit. We always have a technician present right next to you at all times.

Time and blood flow. An ice bath you are in there for 10-15min. During that time the cold penetrates the skin and cools your muscles. This decreases blood flow and only truly helps with inflammation in the muscles. You are in the cryotherapy whole-body chamber for 3min. The nitrogen gas does not penetrate the skin, so this only cools your skin temperature. Allowing for the blood to flow through your body at a much faster rate. Therefore, increasing your blood flow. The increase in blood flow is what helps more with ligaments and joints.

Exposing yourself to extreme sub-zero temperatures puts extreme stress on your skin. This stress provokes your body to boost your immune system and encourage the growth of healthy skin cells which may help fight skin conditions like psoriasis. It is not a cure but you can see long-lasting effects from doing whole body cryotherapy studies have shown.

Besides the main benefits that are listed above, this therapy helps with blood circulation. So, by exposing yourself for 3min to cold you will improve your blood circulation which can help you stay warm!

Yes! Your skin temperature can drop 50° doing this. Your body is fighting to stay warm as your skin temperature drops rapidly. Once you get out of the cryotherapy chamber your body is working overtime to warm yourself back up again. That is how you burn calories during this treatment. This is about 45min on a treadmill.

We provide all of the protective gear you need, just comfortable underwear for men and underwear/sports bra without metal or naked for women. We provide protective socks, gloves, slippers, and a robe for you to change into.

Across the board, any clinical research done shows that the best health benefits and relief of symptoms of health issues come from ADAPTING to the cold. Studies show that receiving the exposure 10 days in a row, up to 20 is when the max benefits kick in. We recommend doing at least the 10 in a row or as often as you can and deciding from there what you’re experiencing and how many more in a row to receive. Maintenance will be very individualized and up to each person to decide. The 10 in a row helps you know for yourself and let your body guide you.

You must have healthy blood pressure-if you’ve ever had blood pressure greater than 180/100 you must check your BP prior to doing a treatment. Here is a link to our waiver.

Arthritis:  The major complaint by individuals who have suffered from arthritis is joint pain from the constant inflammation. Cryotherapy can help reduce this pain and return mobility.

Fibromyalgia: Fibromyalgia is a syndrome of chronic, widespread pain, fatigue, and pain in response to tactile pressure. While there is no cure for fibromyalgia, there is good news for those who endure the chronic pain associated with fibromyalgia, as well as the pain and inflammation associated with arthritis, and other autoimmune diseases. Cryotherapy can help reduce pain and inflammation by using the latest advances in physics and physiology that have been shown to reduce swelling and promote healing, by providing a non-invasive environment to achieve whole-body exposure to subzero temperatures. Norepinephrine is released and is a powerful anti-inflammatory/anti-pain hormone. Our clients with fibromyalgia report having achieved their goals, experiencing relief of symptoms, as well as improved quality of life, as a result of cryotherapy treatment.

Autoimmune Diseases: Cryotherapy has become a standard part of the comprehensive treatment of rheumatologic diseases in European medicine. Now it has come to the U.S.

Psoriasis: Psoriasis is an autoimmune disorder characterized by inflammation and flaking of the skin. Cryotherapy lessens symptoms by addressing the underlying cause. 10-20 treatments in a row then maintenance treatments encourage the growth of healthy skin cells and slow psoriasis. Regular whole body cryotherapy treatments help restore the body’s autoimmune system to normal.

One survey carried out by the University of Alicante which was recently published in their Journal of Human Sport and Exercise revealed that post-exercise cryotherapy can improve isometric strength endurance compared to the control condition. The Welsh Rugby team has been using cryotherapy since 2011 with great success. According to former captain Sam Warburton, the therapy allows players to train an extra day in a week. The benefits of cryotherapy for sports and injury recover include the following:

  • Decreases injury recovery time by an estimated 50%
  • Significantly improves psychological competitive edge
  • Reduces delayed onset muscle soreness (DOMS)
  • Greatly improves muscle strength
  • Increases on-the-field performance
  • Allows you to intensify training schedules because of reduced recovery time
  • Improves joint function while inhibiting inflammation

The therapy helps your body recover from intense exercises by flushing your muscles and delivering nutrients and oxygen to them. Whole Body Cryotherapy (WBC) improves muscular resistance to fatigue and increases muscles’ capacity to regenerate which has been proved to enhance muscle performance.

Cryotherapy has successfully been used across Europe and the U.S.A. to ease depression signs. The process is believed to trigger the release of endorphins and adrenaline into your bloodstream. The release of endorphins has always been associated with decreased stress and low levels of both irritability and anxiety. Endorphins increase energy levels and will leave you euphoric for up to 8 hours. These “euphoric” endorphins normally increase the quality of sleep.

As competitiveness and training sessions in sports become increasingly intense, we need to work even harder to keep our athletes healthy. Cryotherapy currently provides the best alternative for sports and injury recovery.

Sports recovery isn’t new. People have always found ways of allowing their bodies to recover after taking to the field or after engaging in grueling exercises. What has changed is the professionalism of sport and the techniques used in recovery.

Cryotherapy at its most basic works on the same principle as an icepack on a sore knee. Just like the icepack helps relieve the pain on a bump, cryotherapy is used to relieve symptoms in people suffering from muscular and joint pains resulting from intense activity or injury.

According to statistics, over 80% of women suffer from cellulite, and until now there hasn’t been much of a solution. Modern technology provides us with the answer – cryotherapy. It has been found that low temperatures have a positive effect on the skin and overall body condition as a whole.

In the U.S., cellulite-reduction treatments and products became popular in the 1970s, but most were found to be questionable at best. Fortunately, cellulite sufferers today don’t have to subject themselves to the myriad of ineffective (but not inexpensive) loofah sponges, horsehair mitts, massagers, rubber pants, body wraps, and electrical muscle-stimulating belts of yesteryear.

Cryotherapy reduces fatty deposits by using extreme cold to constrict the blood vessels. This is achieved in a cryosauna, a therapeutic “bath” of liquid nitrogen steam that reaches between -250° and -350° Fahrenheit (-120° and 180° Celsius).

Due to the controlled low humidity, patients experience a pleasant cooling sensation, and they don’t feel the bone-chilling temperatures. After a cryotherapy treatment, the skin is not only refreshed and tightened but also rejuvenated and more elastic because of collagen stimulation.

Cryotherapy is helpful in the treatment of many, many problems, from arthritis and fibromyalgia to psoriasis and acne, and lately has proven to be the best way to help regenerate skin cells after a skin peel or microdermabrasion. Cellulite reduction has now been added to the long list of cryotherapy’s proven benefits, and the sessions are quick, painless, and affordable. If cellulite is, as many doctors call it, “fat gone wrong,” then contemporary cryotherapy is cellulite reduction done right.

If you are like many people, traditional weight loss approaches have become frustrating and pointless for you. Why continue experimenting with your body only to become unhealthier and less agile over time? If you believe in holistic approaches for overall health, then why not use the same for weight loss?

Cryotherapy is not a new technique, but it’s gaining popularity as the natural health field grows. In just one session, your metabolic rate will increase along with the improvement of your blood circulation. Muscles also become toned, and weight loss becomes much easier. On average, after attending at least 10 cryotherapy weight loss sessions, and up to 20, customers have lost between 6 and 20 pounds. To continue losing weight, it’s recommended to take part in additional cryotherapy sessions, along with a combination of exercising. (Please note: Weight loss varies for each individual depending on body type.)
